Foundation established by artist James Hubbell and friends.

At its peak, Ilan-Lael had about 1,500 members and about five active committees. In 1993, because of the change in San Diego and in Mr. Hubbell’s life, this phase ended and a new time began in Ilan-Lael’s history.

Hosted numerous visits by classes at studio and organizations interested in Mr. Hubbell’s work and philosophy.
